Pak Suzuki Increases Price Of All Car Models By Up to Rs186,000

Pak Suzuki Motor Company has officially increased the prices of its entire car and motorcycle lineup, effective from July 1, 2025. This price hike comes in response to new tax measures introduced under the Federal Budget 2025–26, particularly the increase in General Sales Tax from 12.5% to 18% and the implementation of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Levy. The most affected models include the popular Alto series, where the VXL AGS variant alone has seen a price surge of over Rs. 186,000. Other models such as the Cultus, Swift, and Every have also experienced noticeable increases, while even the affordable Ravi pickup saw a rise of nearly Rs. 20,000.

The motorcycle segment hasn’t been spared either. Prices of two-wheelers like the GD110S, GS150, and GR150 have all gone up, with the high-end INAZUMA GW250JP now crossing Rs. 1.25 million. Suzuki has clarified that these adjustments are not due to higher production costs but are solely a result of government-imposed duties and levies. The NEV Levy, in particular, aims to discourage the use of internal combustion engine vehicles by making them more expensive, thereby promoting the adoption of electric and hybrid alternatives.

This development significantly impacts budget-conscious consumers, especially first-time car buyers and small businesses that rely on economical models. With the cost of ownership rising and financing becoming more burdensome, the move is likely to shift market dynamics and consumer behavior in the coming months.
